Note: We’re having sporadic problems getting these messages to everyone. If you or other members you may know don’t get a ride notice by say 3:00 each Friday, even one saying there will be no rides, do the following.

1. Check your junk mail folder.
2. Contact me directly at hfpadrone@PROTECTED and I will forward that week’s note.

Saturday looking pretty wet. But Sunday I’ll do a jaunt out to Kasai Rinkan seaside park and Francois is heading off to do some mountain biking out Minamiashigara way.  Tuesday, a holiday, not sure yet, but if weather permits, a Tama River loop. I’ll send a separate message Monday afternoon if this is a go.

Sunday, Minamiashigara (MTB/32C+ tyre ride)
Most of the route is paved (under the debris caused by the typhoons). Only 2 sections are not paved (quite rough surface topography). Last time we turned back. This time I will ride a MTB but I guess bikes equipped with wide tyres can go through.
There is no combini, no restaurant only vending machines at km 30 and a waterfall. Bring enough supplies. Lunch break at Saijo-ji. Free bike/car wash in Odawara.
Distance: 69 k
Elevation: +1.5 km

Meeting point: Shinmatsuda station at 8:45

Leader: Francois

Sunday Kasai Rinkai Adventure

Start at the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills at 11:00 for a “beginners’ plus” jaunt out to the nice seaside park near Disneyland. Back about 3:30. This is so designated because it’s a little farther than our usual beginners’ rides, and a lot faster, especially on the back stretch. The distance is about 45km.  Leader: me.

That’s all for now
