Brrrrr
But it will warm up a bit tomorrow (13 degrees and sunny). So I’ll do a run out to Odaiba Saturday but keeping Sunday open. Meanwhile, KG Lee will take a group up the Arakawa to Ome on Tuesday, a national holiday. (I may do something on Tuesday as well, but will send a note Monday if so).

Tuesday Ome Adventure
(Feb 11th) Public Holiday
80km ride up the Arakawa to Ōme/Okutama, starting at ~10am at the Grand Hyatt. We cut east to join up at the Arakawa to join up with the cycle path, and after ~30km cut west past Tokorozawa (with sit-down lunch near there) to get to Ōme with possible train back to Tokyo (1.5hr). Depending on temperature and willingness of riders, there are options to increase the distance: (1) up to Okutama or Lake Okutama (adding 35-45km), or (2) down the Tamagawa to Tachikawa (+20km). Intermediate brisk pace (~27-29km/h on flats), but slightly slower riders are welcome to draft.
Please bring bicycle bag and lights for possible tunnels. If interested, please contact K.G. at
kheegan@PROTECTED or 080-7880-7423 as plans might change.
Ciao for now,
