The Lovely

…fall weather continues, with a pair of 18-degree, mostly-sunny days coming up. We’d be fools to not go riding. So, no surprise, a couple of our standards, an Odaiba ride on Saturday and a Kasai Rinkai adventure on Sunday.

Masks required only for meet-up spots, close gatherings and going into convenience stores, etc. Don’t forget your eco-bag for your convenience store lunches.

Also on Sunday, a post-ride gathering at my place to celebrate James’s 50th. Probably about 3:30 or 4:00. Bring something to drink and a snack. Suggested sources: Moti, Shake Shack, Meidi-ya, Pizzakaya, the chicken place across from the Hyatt, We’ll probably order stuff from Moti while we’re out at the park, to pick up an hour later. All welcome. I live at Kapira Azabu #401.  3-1-34 Motoazabu. That’s above the pet hospital halfway between the Hyatt and the Chinese Embassy. Outer door code: 0328E

Saturday Odaiba Beginners’

Start at the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills at 11:00 for a quick 30km jaunt out to the island in the bay for a brew and a snack. Back by 2:30

Sunday Kasai Rinkai Adventure. (Plus)

Start at the Grand Hyatt at 11:00 for a leisurely, intermediate-level cruise through parks and along canals out to a pretty park near Disneyland. Level but can get fast on the back stretch. About 50 km. Back by 3:30 or so.

Those who want to stretch this out by 20km or so can join James for a 9:00 sharp departure from the Hyatt. His group will likely meet up with us at the park.

Ciao for now,
