Saturday’s

…going to be 12 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday a bit warmer at 15 but mostly cloudy. Not much wind either day. Not ideal biking weather, but not wet, so off we go for a couple of easy keep-fit rides.

Masks up, please, for meet-up points and convenience stores; otherwise optional while riding. Bring an eco-bag, proof of vaccination and a good attitude.

There’s also this, for those wishing to donate to Ukraine relief in a bike-related way:

Everesting4Ukraine

On the 21st of May, 3 ladies (who say they over 50 but most definitely not over the hill!) will cycle the height of Everest in relay to raise money for the British Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.  In their own words - We want to do something to support the people who are suffering so terribly in Ukraine. We are not that young and not that fast but we are very determined!”

Please consider a small donation in support.

Saturday Odaiba Visit

Start at the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills at 11:00 for an easy, 30-km jaunt out to the magical island in the bay and a beer at the beach. Back by 2:30 at the latest. Beach bar snacks.

Sunday Jonan Plus

Like we did a few weeks ago, our standard ride out to a little beach park near Haneda Airport with a loop on at the end to add a few Ks. Start at the Grand Hyatt at 11:00, Back by 2:30. Convenience store lunch. About 35 K.

That’s all I got
