A note to let you know that Paul Barry, our most stalwart of Half-Fast stalwarts, has been diagnosed to have a serious disease. He will probably go under the knife some time in October, and hopes to be riding again early next year.

I’ll keep you updated on his situation and provide any details he wishes to be shared.

That said, this is the time to step up and share your favorite ride with the club. Contact James sw08023@PROTECTED and Mike mike2@PROTECTED with any ride plans by noon each Thursday for inclusion in our Friday mailing.

I’ll be back in Tokyo in early October.
