Just wondering if any members have a working knowledge of the Asakusa district. The nation’s biggest fireworks display will happen there this Saturday, and if the forecast PM thunderstorms don’t happen,. I was thinking about riding out to that area. But I know little about it, and there will be, oh, two million other people there. It’s Tokyo. So the best way to get there would be by bike, preferably up the east bank of the Sumida. We don’t have to be extremely close, say around the Ryogoku sumo stadium area.

Any ideas? I can get us to the sumo stadium, but we need a place that other people don’t know about (preferably with nearby toilets and sources of beer).

Just sayin’.

And of course it depends on the T-storms.
