Thursday midweek ride, Saturday Odaiba Plus

THURSDAY
…is forecast to be a warmish 20 degrees, but also cloudy and a bit blowy. Perfectly bikeable. So if your schedule permits, join me for a quick midweek ride out to Odaiba. Then, Saturday looking even better at 20 degrees and sunny and not so windy, so a 45-km Odaiba Plus on that day.
Thursday Midweek Odaiba
Start at 11:00 at the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills for the usual 30-km run out to the beach at Odaiba.
The beach bar is closed on Thursdays, but I have in mind a lunch spot on the banks of the mighty Sumida where we may be able to catch a few leftover blossoms. There’s a supermarket nearby. Bring an eco-bag. Please RSVP for this ride. 090-5813-6721. Back by 2:30 at the latest.
Saturday Odaiba Plus
We add 15 km on to the front end of our Odaiba ride to bring it to 45km. Canals, bridges, forests, dedicated bike paths. Start at the Grand Hyatt at 11:00, beach bar lunch. Back by 3:30 or so.
April Monthly Meeting
Penciled in right now for Wednesday, April 16 at 7:00 at The Pink Cow in Akasaka. Burritos beckon. Details later.
Tokyo Bay Cruise VII
We’ve engaged the Marco Polo for this year’s cruise, on June 14. Mark your calendars. I’ll start pestering people to sign up in a few weeks.
