FOR DAY RIDES

With the temps this weekend (34-35) decidedly rising above our comfort range, we’ll offer a few heat-beating rides during the cooler times of the day. Saturday James will go out to Jonan Jima at 7:00 a.m., and I’ll head for Odaiba that evening at 6:00 p.m. Then on Sunday, a night ride to Jonan. And don’t forget our monthly burrito-fest on Wednesday the 9th.

Saturday Morning Jonan

Start at the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills at 7:00 a.m. sharp for a quick 30-km run out to the beach near Haneda Airport. The leader is James: sw08023@PROTECTED Back by 9:00 or so.

Saturday Odaiba by Night

Start at the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills at 6:00 p.m. for a glittering 30-km adventure out to the beach by the bay. Tokyo is an entirely different animal after dark. Back by 9:00 or so.

Sunday Night Jonan Jaunt

Start at the Hyatt at 6:00 p.m. for another twilight trip out to Jonan Jima, to watch the planes fly in and then watch them fly away again. Bring an eco-bag for your convenience store snacks. Back by 9:00 or so.

Monthly Pink Cow Meetup July 9

On the second Wednesday of the month, Half-Fasters traditionally descend on a little art bar in Akasaka that serves excellent burritos for stimulating conversation and wine-drinking.   https://www.thepinkcow.com/   We generally roll in at around 7:00. I’ll send a reminder on Tuesday.
