Happy Tsuyuu to yoooooo!

Well, the rainy season seems to have arrived, and I have no rides planned for this weekend. Though I might consider a Tama River loop for Sunday if the forecast improves. Look for a note Saturday night if that happens.

Peter Evens, a braver man than I, however, is planning a Sunday ride.

Tokyo Bay Cruise aftermath.

Thanks to all who came a-cruising last Saturday. A great success. Anyone lose a grey woman’s hoodie? I have it.

Sunday — Isehara Yabitsu clockwise (if weather permits)

https://ridewithgps.com/routes/30172423?beta=false

Starting from the north exit of Isehara station at 8:00. (This is the
start time, not a meeting time.)

This route is longer than the usual anti-clockwise route. And it has a
little more climbing and is a little steeper. 92.5 km, +2322m

From Isehara, we will go up Yabitsu via three rindo: Asamayama,
Sakurazawa and Omote Tanzawa. We will go down to lake Miyagase via R70
and around a flat rindo to Miyagase dam. Finally, we'll climb
Hanbaragoe from the east and go down to Isehara station.

A sit-down lunch expected at Miyagase Dam or at Kiyokawa Michi no Eki
-- though this will depend on the time and weather.

You may bail out for Isehara station at 53 km or 68 km. And just after
climbing Yabitsu, you may go straight down to Hadano station.

We'll wait at the top of each climb. We'll reach Isehara station
hopefully at around 3 pm -- and anyway before 4 pm.

If delayed or nudged by the weather, at 67 km we'll go to Isehara
station directly, skipping Hanbaragoe.

There are several vending machines on the way; but once we've left the
area close to Isehara station, there's no convenience store. Be sure
to bring enough water and energy supplies. The road surface isn't so
bad, but bring a puncture repair kit.

Leader: Akira Kihara. Contact person (for checking whether the ride is
going ahead or has been cancelled) and lanterne rouge: Peter Evans,

Stay tuned,
