Noble cyclists

This weekend we have four rides on offer. Saturday James will take an early-starting group out to Jonan Jima (Haneda) timed to get back in time for the usual Odaiba run, and Pater has a Tsuru hill climb in mind. Sunday a reprise of last week’s outing to Kasai Rinkai seaside park. There’s a half-marathon along the Tama. I know. Runners, right?

Meet in front of the Grand Hyatt at Roppongi Hills at  0730 sharp  for a 30 km ride out to our usual spot at Jonan.All welcomed. VERY Easy pace.. Back at Grand Hyatt by 1030.

Setting off at 08:30 from outside one or other of the convenience
stores just downhill from the north exit of Takao station. (You can
easily see each from the other.)

Grandpa speed. All the usual warnings, requirements, disclaimers;
also, bring lights for the tunnel.

Leader: Akira Kihara. Near or at the back: Peter Evans

Sunday — Kasai Rinkai Adventure.

A 45-km romp out to that most excellent seaside park near Disneyland. We call this a beginners’ plus as it’s a bit longer than a beginners’ ride, and can be pretty fast, especially on the back stretch. Start at the Grand Hyatt at 11:00. Back by 3:00. Leader: me.

And that’s the way it is.
