New Year Bikers

This weekend just a pair of beginners’ rides from me, Odaiba on Saturday and Jonan Jima on Sunday, and Akira is doing a joint down on the Miura Peninsula on Saturday.

But first, this from Mike:

We had a great turnout for the New Year’s Day Yamanote Ride. If you want to see photos, here are Mike’s and Ryann’s


Saturday Odaiba Beginners’ 

Start at the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills at 11:00 a.m. for a little stay-fit romp out to the magical island in the bay. Back at about 2:00.  Leader: me.

Saturday New Year Miura Ride
Overview:
Meet : Keikyu Shioiri (汐入) station at  8:45 (only one exit)
Start :  Jan 4th Sat. at 9:00

Distance : Beginners plus or Intermediate (66km)
Hills : Some hills, not mountains, see the map above.
Lunch : seafood as usual.

Suggested train :
Keikyu Line (京急)
07:56 Shinagawa (品川)
08:05 Keikyu Kamata (京急蒲田)   (Not JR Kamata)
08:44 Shioiri (汐入)
Take the front cars as the back ones of some of the trains will be
disconnected at Kanazawa-bunko station.
If you take JR, Yokosuka Station (JR横須賀) is very close to the meeting point.

Breaks:
Conveni : at meeting point
Conveni : at 31 km (11:30)
Lunch : at 40km. (12:30-13:30)

Sunday Jonan Jima Beginners

Another short cold ride, out to the park across from Haneda Airport. Start at the Grand Hyatt at 11:00. 30 km, easy, back by about 2:00. Note: if you want to go farther and meet up midway, we’ll get to Jonan Jima seaside park at about 12:30. Leader: me.
