The weather

…this weekend looks a lot like last weekend’s (mostly sunny, around 19 degrees; ideal for what we do), so pump up the tires and teflon the chains and let’s cover some Ks. I’ll do an Odaiba beginners’ run on Saturday and an intermediate Tama Loop on Sunday. On Tuesday, a national holiday, I may do another keep-fit jaunt to Odaiba, but wait for a confirmation of this on Monday night. Any other ideas?

BAG IT. Just a thought, but last time we visited Jonan Jima I noticed we left behind at least two dozen plastic bags.Perhaps we could cut back on this by bringing along an eco-bag or ten, or keeping the ones we get at the convieni for a second use. Not a requirement; just sayin’.

Masks up, please.

Saturday Odaiba Beginners’

Start at the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills at 11:00 a.m. for an easy 30-km lope out to the magical island in the bay for a brew or two. Convenience Store lunch. Back by around 2:00.

Sunday Tama Loop

Intermediate-level. 55km, easy but fast. Start at the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills at 11:00 a.m. Alternate rendezvous points: KFC in Ebisu @ 11:30, Intersection of Kan-Nana and Komazawa-Dori @ 11:45, Komazawa Park @ noon, bridge at Futako-Tamagawa (Kanagawa side) @ 12:20, Gas Bashi @ 12:45 or 1:00. Long break at Jonan Jima seaside park (across from Haneda) at 1:30 or 2:00. Convenience store lunch. Please contact me if one of these meeting spots applies to you. 090-5813-6721. Back by 3:00 or 3:30.
