Rain

Y’know,
I’d rather get wet riding on a day that no rain was forecast than not do a ride because rain is forecast and then doesn’t come. Like last Sunday. Grrrr.  We’re only as accurate as the (four) weather sites we check.

Looks like both Saturday and Sunday will be pretty wet this weekend. So I’ll not plan any rides. Of course, just saying that increases the chances of a few dry stretches, so if it lets up, by all means get out there and get some exercise. You’re welcome.

The Mask Thing

I really want to list our mask policy, but with Tokyo case numbers rising and the fukkin Olympics on the horizon, I think we’ll have to continue masks up at least until after that sporting event no one wants.

I’m outta here

I’m off on July 18th for almost three months of wandering the West in my supercamper. In my absence, rides will be organized by James Wee sw08023jp@PROTECTED
backed up by Paul Berry santiburipaul@PROTECTED

These two stalwarts will be setting up our usual weekend jaunts, and anyone who wants to lead a ride, please contact them.

And remember, the ride leader is the one who makes the decisions. It’s not a power thing, it’s just easier. If you don’t like the way a ride is being managed, volunteer to lead one of your own.

And please don’t make them have to nag you about wearing a mask properly.

See if this looks familiar:

And finally,

Daniel OBrien and the Yokota Cycling Club will be at Devil Craft Pizza in Jyugaoka starting at noon on Sunday and have invited us to join for a meet and greet.

Ciao for now,
