Sadly,
One of our most stalwart members is leaving us soon, but he’d like to complete the karmic circle and go on one more Odaiba ride, thus this Saturday’s jaunt out that way will be dubbed the Greg Brutus Sayonara Odaiba Beginners’ Ride. I’ll also do another short ride on Sunday, out to Jonan Jima, and James will offer a full Tama loop, starting earlier with a possible meet-up at Jonan beach.
The weather will be 17-18 degrees with some sun and some clouds, and little wind.
Greg will also host a sayonara gathering at Roppongi Hobgoblin Saturday night from 6-10, but I’ll let him tell it by pasting his kind email note to the bottom of this missive.
Masks up for meet-up points, convenience stores, etc., but until further notice optional while riding.
Don’t forget an eco-bag for your conbini lunches.

Here’s Greg’s note about his Sayonara party:
Hi Uncle Don!
Long time no see, hope you’re keeping well. Not sure if you’ve heard, but rather sadly I’m returning to HK next week, a bit sooner than I was hoping.
So I have a special request if you don’t mind; I’d love to do a farewell ride to Odaiba on Saturday 20th because that’s where my cycling career started in Tokyo. Sort of a full circle moment. Can’t thank you enough for getting me started and providing the opportunity to meet so many great people. I’ve done dozens of epic rides in my two years here, and I still feel like I’ve just scratched the surface.
Also if you don’t mind mentioning I’ll be having farewell drinks along with Hans at Hobgoblin Roppongi on 20th from 6-10pm - all welcome! We’ll provide pizza and nibbles.
Thanks again, look forward to seeing you.
Regards
Greg
