Getting a break this weekend from a wet April. The usual Odaiba run on Saturday (14 degrees but cloudy). On Sunday (18 degrees and sunny) I have afternoon commitments, so a short Jonan Jima Plus ride, which Paul will lengthen (see below).
Masks up, please, for meet-up spots and stores, etc., otherwise optional while riding. Bring an eco-bag as we frown on single-use plastic bags. Bring proof of vaccination.
Saturday Odaiba Jaunt
Start at the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills at 11:00 a.m. for our standard visit to a little beach bar for a brew by the bay. 30km. Back by 2:30 at the very latest.
Sunday Jonan Plus Plus
Another easy ride, out to Jonan Jima seaside park near Haneda Airport with a loop midway to add 5k to make the total about 35km. Back by 2:30 or so. Those coming from western Tokyo and wanting to stretch it out just a little can join Paul at Komazawa Park west entrance (by Mr Farmer) at 10 a.m. SHARP. He’ll go down the Tama River and try out the new bridge. The two groups will converge at a convenience store near the park at around 12:30. Paul’s #: 090-4755-7761.
