…fine biking weekend shaping up, guys and gals. Saturday I’ll do the regular beer run to the beach at Odaiba, and on Sunday Brian will lead one of our favorite rides, the Miura Peninsula.

Masks up, please, for meet-up spots, stores and trains. Otherwise optional while riding. And bring an eco bag for any  purchases. Vaccinated riders only!

Saturday Odaiba Jaunt

Meet at the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills at 11:00 a.m. for an easy, 30-km ride out to the Beach in the Bay for a Brew or Two. Back by 2:30 or so.

Sunday Miura Peninsula

From Brian:
It’s been a long time since we’ve done one of our favorite rides so let’s go.
To the light house, the windmill is I think gone and is the doll house still there?  If Akira comes, maybe he will show us the way to the ice cream shop.  The route is on the back of the halffast kit

Here’s the schedule:

9:10 Keikyu Shinagawa (get on the front car because the train splits at Horinouchi and the back part goes in a different direction)
9:17 Brian gets on at Keikyu Kamata
10:03 Arrive Keikyu Kurihama
Build bikes and try to be rolling before 10:30
Lunch at Misaki (about 1000 yen)
Return from Zushi.  We should be back in Tokyo by 1800 or so

You will need a bike bag for the train
Bring a helmet, pump, water and a mask (for the train and other indoor spaces)
