LOOKS LIKE MORE
RAIN
ON SATURDAY :-(
But the forecasts for Sunday are getting steadily less damp. So I’d like to do a 45-km Odaiba Plus ride. Yes, I know that’s what we did last week, but our goals are less focused on variety than on simple exercise, sunshine and meeting new folks. And anyway, I really like this ride.
That said, remember that anyone can lead a ride in Half-Fast. Just jot down the start/end spots, distance, route, degree of difficulty and, most importantly, beer stops. Send it to me before noon on Friday (maybe Thursday if it’s your first time to lead) and I’ll include it in our weekly mailing. As a new octogenarian, I tend to favor shorter, less steep rides, but members are welcome to suggest more ambitious rides.
Sunday Odaiba Plus
We tack 15 km on to our standard jaunt out to the beach at Odaiba to make a 45-km roll over bridges, along canals, and through forests, often on dedicated bike paths. Start at the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills at 11:00 a.m. Beach bar lunch. Back by about 3:30.
Tokyo Bay Cruise VII
This year’s boat is filling up fast, and I’ll cut off registration if it gets too full. So with the cruise less than a month away, on June 14th, now’s the time to grab your spot(s). Invite your friends. All the details here: http://halffastcycling.com/download/TBC-VII-Flyer.pdf

That’s all I got this week.
