Resending due to suspected snags in our email server: Sorry for the bother. LOOKS LIKE SATURDAY’S “A.M. RAIN” …may extend into our usual afternoon biking time, so we’ll give that day a pass. Sunday, however, will be warm at 25-26 degrees if not all that sunny, so perhaps an Odaiba Plus ride. Note: All rides and meetings are excellent times to sign up (and pay) for this year’s Tokyo Bay Cruise on June 14. Boat is filling up fast. Sunday Odaiba Plus So named because we add 15 km to the front end of our usual Odai ...Continue Reading

WHEN IT’S 23-26 DEGREES AND MOSTLY SUNNY …it’s simply impossible to NOT go out biking, so this golden weekend I’m looking at a pair of easy beginners’ rides, to Odaiba and Jonan. Use sunscreen! The correct date is June 14th. There’s a flyer attached, which you can print out and invite your friends. Note that just three days after the ...Continue Reading

*BURRITOS**BY BIKE*Just a note to remind you of our monthly gathering at the Pink Cow in Akasaka tomorrow (Wednesday). This is something we did each month for two decades until COVID, and resumed last month to great success. The Cow is a funky art bar run by the irrepressible Traci Consoli, offering some fine and healthy things to eat, especially the burritos. Consider these monthly meetings as a way to see what your fellow Half-Fasters look like without the helmets, shades and Rapha togs. We start rollin ...Continue Reading
