The Autumn Leaves*…are turning, so this weekend we’ll try something a little different. After our usual Odaiba run on Saturday, we will on Sunday ride out via mostly riverside paths to Inokashira Park in the hope of catching a bit of seasonal color. Temps looking about 13-14 degrees, so a little chillier, but strong sunshine. And winds of up to 22 kph, so dress accordingly.Masks up for meeting points and convenience stores, etc. Optional while riding. The Lovely*…fall weather continues, with a pair of 18-degree, mostly-sunny days coming up. We’d be fools to not go riding. So, no surprise, a couple of our standards, an Odaiba ride on Saturday and a Kasai Rinkai adventure on Sunday. Fall bikers,*There may be some slight “PM showers” on Sunday (19 degrees), but Saturday (20 degrees) will be brilliant, with little wind either day. So I’m going to switch the usual order and offer a 55-km Tama Loop Saturday and a 30-km Odaiba jaunt on Sunday. Who was that masked man?*My little vaccine poll *on Wednesday yielded only three unvaccinated members. One who has never ridden with us, one who will get right on it, and one who doesn’t even live in Japan anymore.Tokyo’s daily new cases* have gone from 4,700 on August 13 to about 25 this week. So, unless the numbers go up again, I’m lifting the requirement to remain masked while riding. Yay!
