Depending*...on which weather site you consult, the high on Saturday* will be somewhere between 15 and 19 degrees. (!) So get out the mothballed cycling shorts and let’s roll on over to the Tama River. Sunday* I have to wait around for some building maintenance people, so nothing else from me this weekend.Masks up, please. *About the eco-bag thing. *I originally said bringing along something reusable to put your convenience store lunch in was not a requirement, just a good idea. Bikers, Due to a forecast “feels like” temp of three degrees tomorrow at 11, along with a severe wimp attack on my part, I’m shortening tomorrow’s Tama Loop to a 30km out-ant-back to Jonan Jima. Those to the west that we often pick up at the river can come in to Roppongi and do the Tama loop in reverse, or head downriver and meet us at Jonan at about 12:15.This could be a weekend pattern until the weather warms up. Anyone wishing to lead a more ambitious ride, please let me know. Il Padrone, 090-5813-6721 -- Thank you f ...Continue Reading

Note: If you’ve been in the habit of frequenting indoor bars, restaurants, parties and other risky environments, pleas feel free to not join us.The forecast for this weekend is for cold (7-8 ...Continue Reading

Winter*…is still holding off, and this weekend we have a pair of 15-16 degree, partly sunny days in which to pedal our asses around Tokyo. You’ll miss this weather come January and February. So I’ll do the usual pair of local rides, Odaiba on Saturday and a Tama loop on Sunday. Bike Wanted* Mac, My friend of 35 years and a brand new Half-Fast member, is due to the virus having a hard time finding a new 54-cm road bike available before the summer. Autumn riders*Tomorrow's “morning showers” may or may not stop by early afternoon, but with a high of only 9 degrees and cloudy, I’m giving Saturday a pass.
