Rides, 1, 2

July 31st 2020 MDT

What is that thing, anyway? I don’t quite know what to make of it. The weather maps are showing a string of this odd thing for the next several days. What can it be? Can the monsoon really be over? Before you rejoice, though, be reminded that now the hot water starts. Anyway, we’ll reprise the two rides that were rained out (sort of) last weekend. It’s going to be 30-31 degrees, so slow and easy and stay hydrated. And put on plenty of sunscreen. Masks up, please. Saturday Odaiba Beginners’ Start at the Grand Hyat ...Continue Reading

Hell if I know*…what the weather will allow this weekend as this rainy season from hell drags on. It’s hard to predict what will happen this evening let alone tomorrow or Sunday, So one day at a time. Based on the weather information available at this second, we may have a dryish late afternoon Saturday, so I’ll do a late-start run out to Odaiba, Sunday is anyone’s guess, so if there’s any chance of a ride at all, I’ll send another note Saturday night. Masks up, please.Saturday Odaiba Beginners’ (late start)*S ...Continue Reading

Still, amid this prolonged rainy season, forecasts can change rapidly, so look for cancellation notices by about 9:00 a.m. each day. Also, coronavirus infections have spiked in Tokyo during the past week, so masks up, please. And if you’ve been hanging out in bars or nightclubs, please accept my ...Continue Reading
