I can see clearly now...**The rain is gone*. This weekend looking extremely bikable, with 12-degree highs and some promised sunshine. Don’t know about the wind, though. So I’ll do a Saturday run out to Odaiba, but we may have to search for a new beer spot, as our local will be closed thanks to the friggin’ Olympics until maybe December. (And on Sunday, we’ll offer TWO rides out Kasai Rinkai Seaide Park way, mine starting at the usual 11:00 and Matt’s leaving an hour or so earlier and going a bit farther. The ...Continue Reading

Snowy cyclists Saturday is pretty much out for cycling; even if the cold rain and even snow stop, a high of five degrees is too cold for me to enjoy. But there are two rides offered for Sunday (9 degrees, sunny). I’ll do a standard intermediate-level Tama River loop, and Mike has a moderate hill-climb planned out Shibusawa way. But first: Major Birthday Party coming up I have succeeded in booking the Hobgoblin Irish pub in Roppongi for my birthday revelry on Sunday, February 23rd (the following Monday is a holiday) ...Continue Reading
